Thinking About It

Thinking About Writing.

As I warned a few weeks ago, I get distracted once summer hits. With concerts and parties and my honey working more than usual, I have been having a real life instead of a virtual one. It is exhausting sometimes but I would not want it to be any different. Since he is always working I try to spend as much time as I can with him. In turn, there has not been much work getting done.

So I spent a lot of time…thinking about writing instead of actually writing and drawing just do keep my brain working. Yesterday I spent the day by the pool and then went to see Ani Difranco in Prescott Park, when I got home, my brain was buzzing but my skin was also burning so I went with lotion over writing and passed out watching Nip/Tuck. Every year I do this to myself, once I get this first sunburn out of the way, I will turn a nice golden brown like a perfectly cooked marshmallow. With my Scottish heritage, this makes me sort of amazing and is just one of the things that make me strange.

Over the last few years Prescott Park has become one of my favorite summer hang outs with their music series and their plays and since it is just a few minutes down the road from my house, it is the perfect date night outing. Last night they kicked off the season and Ani drew a crowd of 10,000 people. Even with sunburn it was an amazing night with friends and music http://m.seacoastonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=%2F20120621%2FNEWS%2F206210408&template=wapart

I thought it was really cool to get interviewed for my first time, I hope it will not be the last time.

Saturday night I will be off to see more music in Portland, so I figured tonight is my night to get some writing done, to stop thinking about it and actually do it.
